Sometimes a pig needs a nap!
These cups are a JTH exclusive, designed by the winner of our Tea Pet Competition, Maisey.
We held a competition to design a pig tea pet, and Maisey's design won over 30 other applicants!
This earned her the top prize: $200 cash, 20 tea pets, 5 tea cups, and a portion of all sales of items with her work on them.
Made of white Dehua porcelain, these cups have a generous 120ml size and a subtle gold ring around the top. The original art is complemented with two seals, one from Maisey and one of the Jesse's Teahouse jade seal imprint.

I couldn't be happier to see original art from our community find its way to our shop.
We never intended the tea pet winner to also be our teacup designer, but when we started the process of turning Maisey's tea pet model into an actual tea pet we could produce at a small scale, it seemed like a natural choice to see what she would do with the chance to make a teacup.
When I started the teahouse in 2021, I never imagined we could do something like this. I am super excited to see what people think!
ABOUT MAISY:
I wanted to capture the personality of the pig in the lunar zodiac: gentle, capable, and generous. I like to think the pig balances rest with hard work, and knows that taking care of yourself fuels your ability to care for others. I hope this tea pet reminds you to pause, get comfy, and reward the work you do.
