This tea pet is a JTH exclusive, designed by the winner of our Tea Pet Competition, Maisy.
We held a competition to design a pig tea pet, and Maisy's design won over 30 other applicants!
This earned her the top prize: $200 cash, 20 tea pets, 5 tea cups, and a portion of all sales of items with her work on them.
Made of white Dehua porcelain with red and black glaze, this sleepy boy is ready for a warm tea bath, any time, any where.

This pet is the first tea pet we have made from scratch - taking the model, shipping it to china, developing several prototypes, and eventually doing a full production run. It has been a journey that I never could have imagined I would go on when I launched the site in 2021 and shared our first tea pets. I hope you like the result of all our work!
ABOUT MAISY
I wanted to capture the personality of the pig in the lunar zodiac: gentle, capable, and generous. I like to think the pig balances rest with hard work, and knows that taking care of yourself fuels your ability to care for others. I hope this tea pet reminds you to pause, get comfy, and reward the work you do.
