What is Green Tea?
A timeless favorite, green tea is all about freshness! Unoxidized and bright, green tea is known for its light, clean taste, natural sweetness, enticing scent, and easy-drinking feel.
THE TEA
Yangchun Snow Jasmine is a green tea that has been aromatized with jasmine flowers. Fresh green tea is laid flat and covered with jasmine flowers, which release their scent during the night. The next day, the flowers are replaced with new flowers, and the tea is aromatized again.
This process continues until the tea is scented four times and the jasmine scent inundates the tea. Unlike most jasmine teas sold in the West, which use scented oil to create jasmine scent, the jasmine aroma from this tea will not wash off after the first steep. Instead, it works its way into the tea flavor, lasting throughout the tea session.
The tea also has fresh jasmine flowers mixed in, to add a bit more aroma and visual interest during the tea-making process.
