Sister Ai's Everyday Ancient Tree Red Tea
This fantastic 50g mini-cake of ancient tree red tea comes direct from Sister Ai's tea farm on Qianjiazhai Mountain in Pu'er, Yunnan.

What is Red Tea?
What we call "Black Tea" in the West, Chinese call "Red Tea" (Hong Cha 红茶.)
To respect Chinese tea tradition, I use the Chinese description of "Red Tea", but no matter the name, if you have had black tea before, the taste will be familiar to you!
THE TEA
Each box contains:
One 50g (7-10 sessions) Mini-Cake
Ancient tree red tea is a real treat! It has a deep taste, natural sweetness, as well as some of the ancient tree "funky" notes that make this a true treat.
Floral and fruity flavors round out this punchy, flavor-forward tea. This is a great choice for people who like western "black tea" blends like earl grey and English breakfast.
This particular tea comes from wild tea trees over 200 years old from deep within the Qianjiazhai nature reserve. Nobody except for the tea farmers are allowed into the reserve, and quantities are always limited to whatever the natural growth of that year's crop is.
Who is Sister Ai?

In June of 2022, I went deep into the tea mountains of Yunnan and spent almost a whole week at Sister Ai's tea farm, sampling teas and enjoying the tea life.
Sister Ai has farms all throughout the region, including access to the wild trees where some of the best tea in the world comes from.
That trip created our Tea Master Series, which allowed us to bring high-level single source tea directly from the mountain to our tea friends around the world. The only downside was that the teas were beyond the cost we could give in our subscription.
Working with Sister Ai, we found another tea area where the leaves are still excellent but less expensive. I'm very glad to be able to get her teas to a broader audience and make high quality tea more accessible.
