Guizhou Huang Guo Shu Color-Changing Tea Table
Dimensions: 16.93 x 8.66 x 0.98in
A tea table with two identities!
When dry, the table is black with golden outlines of the Huang Guo Shu waterfall in Guizhou - the largest waterfall in Asia.
But when hot water is poured on the table, it comes alive in a blast of color, and the waterfall is revealed in full!
This set features a landscape painting of the famous Huang Guo Shu waterfall in Guizhou. The massive main waterfall, pictured here, is the largest waterfall in Asia, and is 67m (220ft) high and 83.3m (273 ft) wide.ย
Alongside calligraphy in the corner that reads โJesseโs Teahouse,โ this color-changing tea table is gorgeous both at rest and when in use! It is sure to be a great point of conversation for you and your tea guests who gather around it.

Jesse Says:
We started designing this table in April of 2026, when I visited our porcelain team in China.
I loved the color-changing ability of the tea table, but all of the samples had AI art on them that I did not like. So, we started looking for artists who made paintings of Guizhou as part of their work. Eventually, we found a work that was a great fit for the tea table and then added gold highlights to the โdryโ tea table so they would pop when the color comes in.
This meant we could tie this tea table to the province that provides us our matcha, our chrysanthemums, and of course, the four teas in our Guizhou province tea sampler.
This table is made of bamboo and resin, and has had a layer of lacquer applied, so that it stands up to repeated dousing of all sorts.
The color-change effect is super fast! It works best with boiling water and will still work with cooler water, though the hotter the water is, the clearer the effect. So feel free to pour freely while washing out your cups!
The tray drains through a tube (included), or if you donโt spill too much water, it can be carried and dumped elsewhere.
This is a great table that will be different from all others! I hope you enjoy!
New โGongfu Basicsโ Tea Set Combo
Match this tea table with our new gongfu basics tea set! Select the โTea Table + Setโ option above.
For a little extra, we can match a simple startup set, featuring:
- 1 Dehua porcelain Gaiwan, with hand-written calligraphy reading โ็ฅๅฑฑ ็ฅๆฐด ็ฅ่ถ ็ฅไบบโ - Know the mountains, know the waters, know the tea, know the people.โ
- 2 Dehua porcelain white cups
- 1 glass fairness pitcher
- 1 lightweight aluminum filter
Itโs everything you need to get going at minimal cost.
Many of our tea tables come without equipment, because some people already have equipment and we donโt want to force people to buy sets they donโt need.
But this meant many customers wanted basic sets and then had to buy a set separately, and the budget for getting into Gongfu tea kept going up.
Since my goal is to help make Gongfu tea more accessible, this new tea set will be paired as an option on our mid-ranged tea sets, so we can get to teatime sooner!
