On our new warehouse openings, subscriptions, and green tea preorders
Hello Tea Friends!
I have been so excited to get so many questions from people about our new warehouses, subscriptions, and wanted to update everyone! Country and Region-specific updates are below.
For all customers: The new jessesteahouse.com website will be live starting August 1!
Besides the redesign, which should make it easier to browse and see the tea collections, our website will automatically detect your region and will automatically show you the items available in your local warehouse!
After August 1, no need to go to EU, UK or CA-specific websites, just go to www.jessesteahouse.com
Don’t see the item you want? It might not be available in your region yet. You can always switch to the American store, but then your whole shipment will come from the USA warehouse, and you may need to pay customs fees.

🇺🇸 United States (US) 🇺🇸
Tea Club Subscription: All is well and we will be launching on August 1! Please give our team a few days to send out the orders.
Green Teas: The green teas have arrived and are already being sent out! Individual green teas are already available as well.
Tea Resins/Out of Stock Items: We just got a huge shipment in this week and most, if not all, out of stock items, including our tea resins, are back! Check the site for your favorites!
🇪🇺 European Union (EU) 🇪🇺
Tea Club Subscription: All but one of the new Rat Box teas have reached the EU, and the last should arrive soon. We aim to fill the EU subscriptions before September 1. Subscribers will have their orders triggered on August 1, so that they can be filled as soon as the new teas reach the warehouse, probably in only a few days. As always, you can pause or cancel at anytime by emailing teafriendsupport@jessesteahouse.com, though I hope everyone will be patient as we sort out issues with this first ever subscription being sent from the EU - we have done so much work and are so close!
Green Teas: All the green teas have arrived in the EU already and are on their way to the warehouse, and pre-orders will be filled automatically when they arrive. Afterwards, the individual teas will also be available for order.
Tea Resins/Out of Stock Items: We are still fighting to understand the regulations around tea resins and other items on the US site. After the subscription box and green teas arrive, we will have those teas and all the Taiwanese teas available for purchase in the EU, and we will be adding some of Sister Ai’s teas by November at the latest. Going forward, we are hoping to source entirely EU-approved teas so that the new items will be available in all markets.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom (UK) 🇬🇧
Tea Equipment: All our tea equipment is already ready for sale and on the website starting August 1! 🎉
Tea Club Subscription: British Customs has been giving us a lot of issues with one of our subscription teas, the GABA-192 oolong tea, and as such, we still need some time to sort this out. That being said, since we passed all health checks, we expect the paperwork issues can be resolved by sending the shipment back to China and re-doing the papers, or sending a new shipment. We aim to send out the orders before Sept. 1. British customers will see their orders trigger on Aug. 1; this is so the orders can be immediately filled as soon as the final tea arrives. I am happy to refund any customers who do not want to wait, though I do beg patience, since we have worked well over a year to open the UK warehouse, and since we will be paying for air shipping to speed things up, I hope the wait will not be too long. Green Teas: Same as above, British Customs have given us a big issue with our Biluochun green tea. We are currently figuring out whether we need to send it back or not, but we expect to be able to solve the problem soon and fulfill orders before Sept. 1. We will keep this blog updated!
Tea Resins/Out of Stock Items: Like the EU, we are still trying to figure out the regulations around the products on our US store, and see which we can sell in the UK.
However, we did get approval for two resins: the shou pu’er resin and the red tea resin. Those two resins we have packaged in a UK-specific two-resin sampler, which is on the website! Enjoy!
🇨🇦 Canada (CA) 🇨🇦
The Canadian store is ready and all goods have reached the port, but still need to be shipped to our warehouses in Vancouver and Toronto. This will take a week or so if no other issues arise.
The Canadian store will feature almost exactly the same options for sale as the US store, so if you want to see what will be available soon, you can switch the region tab to the USA region. This includes the subscription club, green tea, tea resins, tea equipment - everything!
For the first few days, the site will show no items in stock; as they arrive and are onboarded, the site will automatically update.

Trying to launch and run four warehouses in four regions is turning out to be harder than we thought, but we have done it! However, each warehouse is in a slightly different place, since each country’s Customs has delayed things by a few days to a few weeks.
As August continues, we will update this blog with the most recent info, so feel free to check back if you have any questions! You can also email teafriendsupport@jessesteahouse.com, but please read this blog first since our email team will keep this blog updated.
